Who we are and why MyBikeCommute.net exists is fairly simple.  The founders are experienced aerospace engineers who saw their predecessors go from Sputnik to a man on the moon in a decade.  Now, with global warming, oil skyrocketing, cars everywhere, SUVs so thick you can walk roof to roof, just to run for coffee, it's time we realize that if we put our minds to it, we could actually replace oil.  All it takes is leadership. 

When we really needed to, we went from biplanes to jets in 6 years (WW2).  When we really wanted to, we went from an orbiting basketball to Neil Armstrong and a Giant Leap for Mankind in a decade.

So, what we want is "to do things big and small to help reduce our dependence on oil".  If that means leaving our cars at home and getting on our bicycles, then let's do it!
